Tuesday October 12

It's already October! We have finished our lessons on continents and oceans and have moved on to regions of the United States. We are also working on state projects which will be due on Oct. 22nd. We started spelling and are continuing on with practice on long division.
Here are this weeks spelling words:

Group 1:

spoke, drive, wrote, mole, stone, file, smile, stove, ride, globe, vote, spice, crime, froze, wise, knife, throne, joke

Group 2:

copper, shrugged, village, compass, thunder, canyon, cottage, blossom, chopped, wrapped, trapped, chug, chugged, drumed, planned, shopping, snapped, slapping, skipping, hugged.

Group 3:

kennel, sonnet, vital, vandal, composure, puncture, procedure, brochure, immature, chimney, hesitant, petulance, reluctance, vigilance, significance, impatience, convenience, lenient,resilience, independence

ASSIGNMENT for spelling:

1. Sort words

2. divide into syllables

3. Find 5 words that fit your pattern

4. Practice test

These assignments are due on Friday October 15.

October 22 Projects due, speeches to begin

October 29 Reading day.. Dress like your favorite book character
